Telegraph (est. 2012) is an eclectic beer garden, sausage joint, & community gallery space in heart of Oakland's Uptown District. I met John Mardikian (Owner & Chef @TelegraphOAK) just as he was putting up his new sign shortly after opening his restaurant in early February 2012. The location his business moved into had a strong following from the café it had been for 7 years before Telegraph's opening, and the neighborhood had really grown around the community vibe that was built by it's shows, vegan treats, & hipster/punk vibe. With Telegraph's online presence & event planning opportunities, I aimed to preserve the artsy feel of the former space, while also taking the web presence & branding for Telegraph in an entirely new direction. It is sausage, after all.
Two weeks later, Telegraph had brand new website, a budding social media presence, and a hefty following of local sausage & beer lovers. Since then, the business has continued to grow, as well as the community that the establishment has brought together.

Chef Gloria J. Dominguez is an authentic Mexican cook, aimed at preserving recipes and food culture indigenous to her Oaxacan upbringing. Having lived in the US for most of her life, Gloria's purpose is to bring her travels, knowledge of authentic Mexican food, & her own cultural traditions to Downtown Oakland- and from that goal, Tamarindo Antojeria was created and has been open in Old Oakland for 7 years now.

Gloria brought me on board to build a platform with which she could share her travels and food blogging with her clients, customers, friends, & family alike. After just a couple of weeks, I was able to launch her new web presence- including social media integration, a custom gallery function (using an Instagram API), a Wordpress-powered blog, and a place for her to sell tickets for all of her events.

Just a few Mothers Days' ago, Mark & Jason Scott, a pair of foodie brothers from the East Coast, were working together to build a new sandwich for an East Bay restaurant that they were working at. After a few trials and kitchen tribulations, a new bagel sandwich was added to the menu- and the buzz quickly followed.
After perfecting their original bagel lineup and handing out samples to some local coffee shops, the craving for product began to grow. In the short time since then, the company has added over 10 vendors to it's growing list of cafes & restaurants.

Authentic Bagel Company hired me to help re-invent their online presence, as well as to help bring their ordering process online. In addition to making this happen, I also created a Bagel Locator for them, as well as built a strong social media presence that has taken their interaction with East Bay bagel fiends to a new level. Since starting their project, they've also opened their first storefront at Jack London Square in Oakland, and I look forward to continuing to grow with this great local business.

Citizen Space is a coworking space in San Francisco, and San Jose. The idea of Citizen Space is to take the best elements of a coffee shop (social, energetic, creative) and the best elements of a workspace (productive, functional) and combine them to give indie workers the chance to have their own, affordable space.
Citizen Space was built on the coworking philosophy. CS residents (past and present) range from: startups, software engineers, web developers, social media consultants/strategists, graphic designers, product designers, public relations specialists, and sustainable web hosting entrepreneurs.
@CitizenSpace hired me to host events (via Meetup.com) at the 4000 sq. ft. coworking space in San Francisco, as well as to create ongoing blog content & take care of general office management. While working with CS, I implemented pay-per-click advertising, event curation, & proper search engine marketing techniques that aided in building the influence that it has in the coworking world, in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.
